Suggested Reading

At the recent Area Coordinator Workshop, I mentioned a book that does a good job of illustrating commonly seen dog body language. However, due to part of my brain being down for routine maintenance, I couldn't remember the name or author. Typical.

As promised, here is the book: "Dog Language: An Encyclopedia of Canine Behaviour" by Roger Abrantes.

While I was going through my books to find this one, I was reminded of another book that I highly recommend: "The Other End of the Leash" by Patricia McConnell. If you had to pick only one book to read on how to communicate with dogs, this would be it. It's a fun read and very informative.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone at the workshop; it's like attending a family reunion. Area coordinators are where the rubber meets the road for our puppy program. Thanks for all you do!
